90 Days. On-Site. Working Alongside Your Team.

The Compass is a 90-day consulting engagement where Lynette Young travels to your firm and works directly with your leadership team through assessment, planning, and implementation. This is not remote coaching. It is on-site, hands-on consulting built around where your firm is right now and where it needs to go.

What Sets This Apart

Most consulting engagements deliver a document. A report, a set of recommendations, a plan you take home and try to implement on your own, with the consultant already gone.

The Compass works differently because business problems are rarely what they look like from the outside. The assessment phase exists to surface what is actually happening in your firm, not what you think is happening. The onsite workshop three months in exists because real implementation questions only appear once the team has had time to work with the plan.

At $30,000, The Compass is the right level of engagement for a firm whose owner is ready to stop being the bottleneck — and ready to bring someone into the business who knows this industry well enough to be useful, not just well-intentioned.

Lynette has spent years inside the first party claims world. She is not translating general business principles into a niche context. She knows how PA firms are structured, how they price work, how they hire, and what breaks first when growth stalls. That background is what makes the assessment useful and the onsite productive.

How It Works

The 90-Day Structure

Assessment and Preparation

Lynette conducts employee and owner surveys to build an accurate picture of the firm before any recommendations are made. Both groups complete separate assessments — what the leadership team sees and what the employees see often diverge significantly. That gap is usually where the work is.

In parallel: workflow documentation and initial analysis begin, the business SWOT assessment is compiled from survey data, and the pre-onsite agenda is developed. A milestone check-in call takes place during this phase to review early findings and confirm the onsite focus areas.

(Days 1-45)

Three-Day On-Site Workshop

Lynette travels to your firm for three consecutive days of on-site work. The workshop runs as follows:

Day 1

Foundation and Operations Assessment (Full Team)

Morning session: 7Seas Framework introduction, review of all assessment findings and baseline metrics, current workflow validation with the team, and process mapping exercises. Afternoon session (executive team): comprehensive SWOT analysis workshop, growth opportunity identification, strategic goal setting for 90 days and beyond.

Day 2

Team and Process (Mixed)

Morning session (executive team): employee survey results reviewed and turned into an action plan, competency evaluation framework for each role, staff development pathways, and communication and feedback system design. Afternoon session (full team): optimized workflow presentation and collaborative refinement, implementation planning with timeline and responsibility assignments, change management approach.

Day 3

Strategic Business Development (Executive Team)

Morning session: end-to-end business strategy covering sales, marketing, customer experience, team management, vendor relationships, and financial planning. KPI and OKR framework establishment, continuous improvement roadmap. Afternoon session: 7Seas Framework integration — a structured look at which Sea the firm is navigating and what operational changes address it directly. 90-day action plan finalized with specific milestones.

(Days 46-75, around Day 60)

Implementation Support and Close

Around Day 80: a mid-program course correction session reviews progress against the 90-day goals set at the onsite, identifies what has stalled and why, and adjusts resources and timelines where needed.

Day 90: final implementation review and handoff. Comprehensive assessment of what has moved, what is still in progress, and what the next 90 days should hold. Transition planning for independent operation and confirmation of resource library access.

(Days 76-90)

Is This Right for Your Firm?

The Compass Is Built for
Firms That Are Ready to Move

Right Fit

The Compass is the right engagement if your firm has revenue but has hit a ceiling you cannot see around clearly. If the bottleneck is the owner and everyone in the firm knows it. If you have tried to build systems and they do not hold because the owner is still the primary decision point on anything that matters.

It is also the right level of engagement if you tried a VIP Intensive and left with a plan you need help executing — The Compass picks up where the Intensive ends and takes the work through implementation.

Not the Right Fit

The Compass is not the right starting point if the firm has not yet reached the point where owner bottleneck is the primary constraint. If revenue is still under \$1 million and the core challenge is business development rather than operational capacity, a Founders Room event or online courses are the better entry point.

This is a 90-day working engagement, not a course or a monthly accountability call. If the owner cannot create real time for the work during those 90 days, the investment will not produce results proportional to its cost.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How is The Compass different from the VIP Intensive?

The VIP Intensive is one flat-fee engagement where your team travels to The Anchor Alliance for three days. You leave with a plan and a written deliverable set. The Compass is a 90-day engagement where Lynette travels to your firm and works alongside your team through implementation. The Intensive produces the plan. The Compass takes you through executing it.

Do we need to have done the VIP Intensive first?

No. The Compass begins with its own assessment process. Many clients come to The Compass directly. If you have already done a VIP Intensive, the assessment phase will be faster because some of that diagnostic work is already done.

What does Lynette's on-site travel cover?

Lynette's travel for the three-day on-site workshop is included in the flat fee. You do not pay separately for travel.

What happens after The Compass ends?

The final implementation review closes the engagement. Clients who want to continue structured long-term work may inquire about Full Voyage, the 12-month consulting engagement available to Founders Room alumni.

Can we start before a Founders Room event?

Yes. Founders Room attendance is a prerequisite for Full Voyage, not for The Compass. You do not need to attend a Founders Room event before beginning The Compass.

How many firms can be in The Compass at the same time?

Capacity is limited. Book your discovery call to confirm availability.

Ready to Talk About Whether The Compass Is the Right Fit?

The discovery call is 30 minutes. We talk through where your firm is, whether The Compass is the right level of engagement, and what the process looks like from intake to close. No pressure, no deck.
